GRAND SLAM:: Jeremy had a grand slam with Captain Kechu despite it being a mostly cloudy day! Captain Kechu was also ready and guided Mathias from Norway to his first slam later in the week!
BONES: Congratulations for their first bonefish on a fly: Adam, Erik, Craig, Jody, Dan S., Jeff, Bill B., John B. Curt, Steve, Jeff, and Todd. Some good success in our home lagoon for Jeremy and Keith who took the kayaks out to some nearby bonefish flats. They had shots at a couple of extremely large bonefish as well a a single shot at permit. Biggest bonefish of the week was 4 pounds.
PERMIT: Lots of permit shots this week but only a few of these ended up in actual fish on and even fewer ended up with a fish to the boat. Jeremy and Mathias landed beauties as part of their slams. Don landed 2 in one day with Captain Luis Paz. Many reports of permit following flies but not pulling the trigger!
TARPON: John landed one of our resident tarpon sight fishing with Captain Luis P. James is now addicted and vowed to swim back to Savannah Flats if he has to for another try to catch a tarpon. He had one eat his fly ~ 4 feet from the boat!! Rick and Tommy jumped 6 one day with each of them getting 2 to the boat. The biggest looked to be 35 pounds according to their Captain, Emir.
