July 25, 2016 Fishing Report
WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING
): As usual, the bonefish were both profuse and cooperative! We recorded lots of our standard one, two and three-pound fish. There was also some good success off the dock
The permit population continues to amaze the guides and guests! Ben Jr. landed two permit. Jerry and John each landed one and Tanya also landed two, as did Emily, Elise, John G and Jon L as part of their slams!
Karen and John both landed the silver kings – as did Emily, Elise, John G and Jon L as part of their slams!
Jacks, Snappers, Barracudas
Our anglers have enjoyed super successes in the last couple of weeks! John G and Jon L each Slammed + both of Robert Woodruff’s daughters, Elise and Emily achieved a SUPER Grand Slam (bone, permit, Tarpon and a Snook in one day)!!
Flies that worked:
Bonefish: Christmas Island Specials, Crazy Charlies, Bunny gotcha
Permit: Christmas Island Specials, Bauer Crab, Merkin
Tarpon: Black death, gummy minnow.
A fabulous couple of weeks here at the Lodge.
