Oct. 9th - Oct. 15th, 2017 Fishing Report
WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING
Thank you again to Orvis, Rob and Jenny and all of our other wonderful guests joining us this week. The weather wasn’t as cooperative as we would like to see, but the bonefish certainly have been. All anglers, as usual, are catching multiple bonefish. Rob and Jenny, while waiting for their group to arrive, landed some “Belize Career” bonefish from our dock.
Eric and Lauren had a great week of fishing. Eric landed one of the largest permit of the season and his largest permit in Belize. Gordy is the man for putting his anglers on the permit. He and his dad (Emir) are very fishy and know where to find those big boys. Join them in the hunt for the next monster permit.
The tarpon are still hungry if you feel like experiencing an awesome tug and a great fight. Each week anglers are coming back to the lodge to tell their tarpon story of the day. The seasoned anglers to beginners are finding themselves hooked up and in for a ride of a lifetime. Maddie and her dad not only caught tarpon, but dad managed to make it a grand slam. Way to go guys!
Squirrelfish, dogfish (no catfish this week) snapper, jacks, barracuda, needlefish, grouper and ladyfish.
Congratulations to Stan on his Grand Slam.
