Join Whitney Gould and Megan Nellen for a women-only saltwater fly-fishing school at El Pescador Lodge & Villas on Ambergris Caye, Belize.

Designed for women who want to learn saltwater fly fishing or improve their existing skills, this immersive experience combines personalized instruction, casting preparation and three full days of guided fishing on the flats of Belize.

Participants will prepare before the trip through online sessions covering casting, equipment and angling techniques. Once at El Pescador, the program continues with hands-on instruction and casting practice before heading out with our experienced guides in pursuit of bonefish, permit and tarpon.

The goal is simple: help every angler become more comfortable, capable and confident on the water while enjoying the camaraderie of a small group of women who share a passion for fishing and adventure.

Whitney Gould

Whitney is an FFI Certified Casting Instructor and seven-time Spey-O-Rama World Casting Champion. Her extensive guiding and teaching experience includes the Clearwater River in Idaho, the Missouri River and Alaska. When she isn’t teaching or competing, one of her favorite places to be is on the bow of a flats boat pursuing permit.

Megan Nellen

Megan caught her first fish on a fly rod — a bonefish — while fishing with El Pescador in 2012 and has returned to the waters around San Pedro regularly ever since. An educator and avid fly angler, Megan brings both experience and enthusiasm to helping other women enjoy the sport.
