Reservations, Deposits & Payments
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm all reservations. This deposit is non‑refundable after 24 hours. The balance of the trip price is due 90 days before arrival at El Pescador.
The trip price quoted includes payments for others, including but not limited to taxes for the Government of Belize, airfare between Belize City (BZE) and San Pedro (SPR) as well as fuel. Tax percentages are currently in effect, and prices are subject to change. El Pescador reserves the right to adjust prices accordingly until the time of departure.
Packages Include
The number of nights lodging and days fishing specified in your package, round‑trip land, air and sea transfers between Belize City and El Pescador, 9% hotel tax, 12.5% sales tax, 3 meals and an afternoon snack daily, local Belizean beverages consumed at our bar (including soda, beer and rum drinks) plus complimentary use of the amenities (pools, paddleboards, kayaks, bicycles, and Wi‑Fi), as well as daily fly‑fishing workshops.
Packages Do NOT Include
Sport fishing licenses (available online), park fees (if applicable), fly rods/reels (which may be borrowed), flies & terminal tackle (which may be purchased in our shop), or gratuities.
Nightly Lodging Rates
Include complimentary use of the lodge’s amenities—pools, paddleboards, kayaks, bicycles, and Wi‑Fi—plus daily fly‑fishing workshops.
Planning Information
When your reservation is confirmed, you will receive planning information designed to convey the spirit of the trip and guide you in the more practical details of getting ready for your adventure, such as a packing list, fishing gear recommendations, in‑country transfers, cellular and internet service. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations and/or changes must be received in writing via our contact page.
- Within 24 hours of booking: Full refund.
- After 24 hours: Deposit non‑refundable.
- Within 90 days of trip (if balance paid): Total amount non‑refundable.
When you cancel:
- Prior to 90 days before trip: Transfer 100% of deposit to another angler for the original dates, or change your dates (within 12 months) for the same package (add‑ons allowed).
- 45–90 days before trip: Transfer 50% of package to another angler or change dates (within 12 months).
- Less than 45 days before trip: Non‑refundable, but you may transfer your reservation to another angler for the same dates and package.
Cancellation fees cannot be waived for any reason (health, business or personal emergencies, weather, etc.). No refunds will be given for no‑shows, unused portions, acts of God, delays, strikes, theft, force majeure, or other events beyond our control. Reasonable itinerary changes may be made if necessary. In the unlikely event that El Pescador must cancel a reservation, all payments received to date will be rebated within 90 days.
Travel Insurance
We strongly urge that you purchase trip insurance to cover unexpected cancellation, interruption, delays, cancellation for any reason or medical reasons, lost baggage, expenses, and medical evacuation. To find out more, please contact [email protected].
If you choose not to purchase insurance, you will be subject to the cancellation policy above.
Passports And Documents
All visitors to Belize must travel on a valid, non‑expired passport with at least six months’ validity at the time of travel. To enter Belize as a tourist for 30 days or less, citizens of the United States, Commonwealth realms, EU member states, and CARICOM member states do not require a visa.
Children under 18 traveling with one parent or guardian require a notarized letter of authority from the other parent(s), stamped and signed by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public.
Arrival And Departure
Guests fly to/from Belize International Airport (BZE) at their own expense. Local flights between BZE and San Pedro (SPR) are coordinated around scheduled international arrivals/departures. This local flight is included in your package or may be booked a la carte if you have a nightly lodging‑only rate. For baggage and policy details, see Tropic Air.

Limitation Of Liability
By sending your deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms and conditions.
All outdoor sporting activities (fishing, water sports) and travel through remote areas by vehicle, boat, small plane or on foot carry inherent risks. You accept these hazards as a condition of participation.
El Pescador Ltd, its owners, employees, associates and agents act only as agents for contractors and suppliers providing transportation and/or other services. They assume no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to persons or property resulting from acts of God, detention, delays, strikes, theft, force majeure, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions, or changes in transit or hotel services over which El Pescador has no control. Reasonable itinerary changes may be made for your comfort and safety.
Baggage and personal effects, including fishing equipment or sporting goods, are always the sole responsibility of the owner(s). No El Pescador employee, agent or guide is authorized to accept items for storage or transport. El Pescador cannot be responsible for loss, theft or breakage of any rods, reels or tackle at any time.
