Week In Review
After a couple of weeks of strong winds and choppy water, we finally had some good weather days. All our guides and anglers are happy and enjoying themselves, catching some big tarpon and having plenty of shots at permit.
We have seen some 90–100-pound tarpon landed, with many others jumped. Our anglers have also had great success with permit, landing several in the 15–20-pound range. Bonefish have been plentiful as well, and we are excited to report that some anglers even achieved a Grand Slam. Other species caught recently include jacks, barracudas, and snappers.
Regarding gear, the tarpon have been eating white bunnies, black and purple toads, and chartreuse flies. For permit, white and tan Flexo crabs and Rag Heads have been the most effective. As always, the bonefish are loving Christmas Island Specials, Crazy Charlies, and Gotchas.
