Nice weather all week provided plenty of opportunities and produced several “firsts” on a fly.
What Guests were Catching
- Grandslam
- Steve closed out March with a Grand Slam on the fly.
- Bonefish
Conditions were excellent for sight casting both from the boat and wading.
- Permit
Good weather helped produce some nice permit on the fly.
- Tarpon
Tarpon up to 50 pounds were landed.
- Other Species
Snook, snapper, jacks, and barracuda.
- Bone Fish Flies
- Christmas Island Specials in orange, pearl and pink sizes 6 & 8
- Permit Flies
- Spawning Shrimp, Tan Squimp in size 6 & 8.
- Tarpon Flies
- Chartreuse or white Tarpon Toads.
- Snook Flies
- The same flies that worked for tarpon caught snook this week.
