Week In Review

It was another challenging week out on the flats, as winds were quite strong again. We saw 10-20 kts coming from the E-SE, which created choppy water conditions. While it was difficult for the guides to find fish at times, they worked harder than usual and successfully put our anglers on plenty of fish.

Here are the highlights from the week:
  – Bonefish: Many were landed, and as always, the Christmas Island flies were the most effective.
  – Permit: Several anglers had numerous shots at permit. While not many were landed, the successful catches were eating Squimps, Strong Arms, and Rag Head Casa Blancas.
  – Tarpon: They were a bit harder to find, but several 20 to 30-pounders were landed. The preferred flies were white toads, chartreuse, and black & purple.
  – Other Species: We also saw many other species landed, including snook, snapper, jacks, and barracuda.
Overall, it was a productive week despite the weather, and our guests had a lot of fun out on the water.
